What is a Medical Profile?
A Medical Profile is created for one individual and serves as a centralized hub for all their health information. In Primary Record, it is like an electronic file drawer for your health, legal, and financial records.
With a Medical Profile, you can:
- Connect to over 7,000 patient portals and download data in minutes
- Organize medical records using file folders and notes for images, PDFs, and audio recordings.
- Quickly search and summarize key health details using a Chat Assistant
- Invite Collaborators to help keep the profile updated and ensure seamless care coordination.
How can I share a Medical Profile with someone else?
Sharing a Medical Profile is simple and secure. As an Organizer, you can invite an unlimited number of Collaborators to help manage an individual’s health information.
Here’s how it works:
- Invite Collaborators – Send an email invitation to anyone who needs access.
- Control Permissions – Set different access levels for each Collaborator based on their role.
- Collaborator Registration – They will receive an email with a unique link to register.
- Instant Access – Once registered, the Medical Profile will appear under “Profiles Shared with Me.”

If I update my Primary Record, does it also update my patient portals?
No, updating your Primary Record does not automatically update your patient portals. Primary Record is a secure place where you can organize, track, and manage your health information, but changes made within the app do not sync back to healthcare providers’ systems.

No, you do not. Medical data collected and organized by an individual, legal guardian, advocate, or family caregiver is subject to different privacy laws.

In contrast, when an individual or family member shares their own health information, different privacy rules apply.
